(WENY) - The plastic bag ban is being enforced beginning on Monday, October 19th. The ban went into effect on March 1 st. It has not yet been enforced. The DEC says the ban will be enforced due to a lawsuit that was taken to the U.S. Supreme Court. The ban is all in an effort to limit waste and pollution.
