I have visited at least 17 zoos and Saint Louis Zoo is my second favorite zoo behind San Diego Zoo. I have been to this extraordinary zoo in the southwest corner of Forest Park three times. Once in 1997 and twice on our Summer 2018 vacation. Saint Louis Zoo is free to enter. That is excluding the $15 to park here and the price to rideshare here.

St Louis can be quite warm in summer so we went early, then went to the Art Museum, Jewelbox, etc which can all be enjoyed in the area and accessed by the economical buses looping the area.
